A Glimpse of Brazil
Travel in Brazil offers an amazing opportunity to see gorgeous scenery, try a variety of exotic dishes, and to immerse yourself in an incredibly rich culture. Brazil is one of most diverse countries in the world. Before the Portuguese arrived in 1500, the country was inhabited by many different native tribes of Brazil. After the Portuguese came the French, Dutch and other Europeans, slaves from Africa, and a huge population of Italians and Germans to live in the South of Brazil. Americans founded the city of Americana in São Paulo after the Civil War in the US. During the Colonial times in Brazil, the Europeans went to the West to explore the country and to hunt for gold and other rich minerals. But the explorers left their families on the coast and took African slaves and natives of Brazil with them. This fact completely and forever changed the ethnic structure of Brazil because some of the adventurers took many years to return home – up to 20 years in some cases - and they mixed with native of Brazil and the African slaves. In fact, there was a mix between whites and blacks, whites and natives of Brazil, and natives of Brazil and blacks. Later on there would be new mixing with Japanese, Chinese, Arabs, and others. This mixing wasn’t only of blood, but also combined several cultural backgrounds in the same country – united by speaking the same language.
If you travel around Brazil you will notice the different kinds of architecture, food, ways of dress, cultural habits, and the list goes on. It is like visiting many different countries connected inside one. It is a fascinating variety of things and a pleasure to be able to see how this fact does not interfere in their lives but instead creates a strong national bond. You can especially see that special nationalism when traveling while the National Futebol “Soccer” Team is playing or during the period of Carnival. From rich to poor, North to South, white, blacks and morenos (browns,) all people celebrate Brazil. Brazil Travel is an experience of a lifetime can teach us how to live together as a nation while respecting our differences.
We could not forget to talk about Brazil’s natural beauties. A huge coast line with amazing beaches, natural pools, the incredible Amazon rain forest, the 275 foot drop of Iguassu Falls, Rio De Janeiro, a mix of mountains, beaches, music and the Carnival - the biggest and most popular party of the whole world. Salvador is the most vibrant African City outside of Africa with its exotic food, dance and history. The list goes beyond that with the Brazilian way of life that enchants many who come to see it.
